Pre-heat oven for 350*F.
1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef,
1 large onion, finely chopped,
1/4 cup natural bran,
1 slice whole wheat bread
crumbled,
1/2 tsp.salt,
1/2 tsp. thyme,
Dash worcestershire sauce,
Pepper to taste,
1 cup tomato juice, or tomato sauce,
1 egg beaten lightly,
serves 6
In a mixing bowl combine, beef, onions, bran, bread crumbs,
thyme, salt, worcestershire sauce, and pepper to taste.
Stir in tomato juice, or tomato sauce, and egg. Mix lightly.
Turn into a 9x5 inch loaf pan or baking dish.
Bake at 350*F. for 45 to 50 minutes or until brown, and
firm to the touch. Remove from oven, pour off fat.
