1-1/2 lb lean ground beef 680 g
1 onion, finely chopped 1
1/2 green pepper, finely chopped 1/2
1 stalk celery, finely chopped 1 stalk
1 can tomato soup (10 oz/284 mL) 1 can
1 can red kidney beans with liquid (19 oz/540 mL) 1 can
1/2 cup water 125 mL
1 - 2 tbsp chili powder 15 - 30 mL
1/4 tsp garlic powder 1 mL
salt and pepper, to taste
a little vegetable oil
Sauté onions, green peppers and celery in a little oil, until vegetables are soft.
Add beef, breaking it up with a fork. Stir and cook until no red remains.
Add tomato soup, red kidney beans with juice, water, chili powder and garlic powder. Add salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 30 minutes.
