12 ounces butterscotch morsels
1/3 cup butter or margarine
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup finely chopped nuts
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
13 ounces evaporated milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 large egg
1. In top of double boiler, melt morsels and butter, stirring occasionally. this takes about 20 min. Stir in the crumbs and nuts. divide the mixture in half. Press half onto bottom of well greased 9 x 13" pan.
2. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until light. Gradually add condensed milk, then vanilla and egg. Beat well. Pour over crumb mixture. Smooth until even. sprinkle top with remaining crumb mixture. Press lightly with palm of hand.
3. Bake 350 for 25-30 min. or until tested done. Cool to room temp. on wire rack. Chill before cutting.
