Sour Cream Coffee Cake

1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs, well beaten
1 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking powder

Topping:
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. chopped nuts

Combine sour cream and baking soda in bowl.
In another bowl, blend butter and sugar.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Beat well.
Add sifted dry ingredients and sour cream.
Spread half in 9" square pan.
Sprinkle with half of the topping.
Cover with remaining batter and topping.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes @ 350F.
