I would start with your omega oils .. if you take vitamins... get good ones and digestive enzymes help you to get the most from the food you eat... Vitamin shoppe seems to carry a good brand... Lots of good one... I use DR Shultze ... you can call 1-800 herb-doc for a catalog.. they are free and have alot of wonderful info in them.....Good luck : )

Make sure you get a whole foods vitamin with calcium citrate, natural vitamin E, D3, and non-synthetic variants of vitamins. Vitamin Shoppe has some good brands. A cheap multi is worse for you than no multi at all.

Vitamins are generally only effective if they are coming from a natural food source such as Vit C from Acerola Cerry etc. The majority of vitamins that are sold in pharmacies, grocery stores, and vitamin shops are synthetic vitamins, which are only isolated portions of the vitamins that occur naturally in food. If you take a look at a variety of vitamin C supplements, you will find that the majority of them contain only ascorbic acid or a compound called ascorbate, which is a less acidic form of acorbic acid. Ascorbic acid is NOT vitamin C. It represents the outer ring that serves as a protective shell for the entire vitamin C complex, much like an orange peel that serves as a protective shell for an orange. When you take only ascorbic acid found in your synthetic vitamin C tablet or powder, your body must gather all of the other components of the full vitamin C complex from your body’s tissues in order to make use of it. In the event that your body does not have adequate reserves of the other components, ascorbic acid itself does not provide any of the health benefits that the full vitamin C complex does. After circulating through your system, the unused ascorbic acid is eliminated through your urine. It is generally better to improe your diet to include a wide range of whole foods so that you are naturally getting all your neccesarry vitamins- however if you really feel the need to supplement your diet look for vitamins from a natural food source.Check out this website which has some good advise: http://chetday.com/vitaminarticles.htm

Good for you to start eating right and exercising. A few thoughts - what are you missing in your diet? Be honest with yourself. If you've never taken vitamins, you don't want to start taking everything under the sun. The vitamins you need will depend on your particular needs. Good multi-vitamins will enhance what you are doing, not "replace."I personally like New Chapter Multi-vitamins which are all organic, and I take Omega-3 and CoQ10. I give my kids omega-3 also. I also supplement with MD Select advanced cholesterol and Twin Labs vitamin D. Vitamin D has been in the news lately - you can also get it from being in the sun depending where you live. Check out all the websites from the major retailers (Vitamin Shoppe, GNC, etc.) and also from some experts - Dr. Weill and the Real Age guys - Oz & Roizen. Good luck and good for you to take your health into your own hands!

If you are eating a healthy diet you don't need vitamins. Save your money or spend it on more fruits and veggies.

If you are eating healthy, then your nutrient intake is perfect. There is no reason to start taking supplements. There are no benefits to taking a bunch of extra vitamins (your body won't use any more than it needs) and there can be dangers of taking too many.So actually, don't waste your money!

Health claims of Wheat grass juice. One of the most popular claims about wheat grass, and one that is frequently made by both supporters and retailers, is that a 30 ml shot of wheat grass is as nutritionally valuable as a kilogram of green vegetables.Proponents of wheat grass use claims that regular ingestion of the plant can improve the digestive system, prevent cancer, diabetes and heart disease, cure constipation, detoxify heavy metals from the bloodstream, cleanse the liver, prevent hair loss and help to make menopause more manageable. There is, however, no medical nor scientific evidence to support these claims, although there is a great deal of anecdotal evidence to that effect.

I started taking Burdock Root and Royal Jelly a couple of months ago. Burdock is a good blood purifier and you will notice your urine become clear after 1-2 days. Royal Jelly has given me energy and is supposed to give longevity.
