1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon crushed ginger root or 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
1 clove garlic, crushed
1. Shape ground beef into 4 patties, each about 3/4 inch thick. Mix remaining ingredients; spoon onto patties. Turn patties; let stand 10 minutes.
2. Grill patties about 4 inches from medium coals, turning once, until desired doneness, 5 to 7 minutes on each side for medium. Serve on toasted sesame seed buns if desired.
