Filling:
3/4 cup white sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 cup crushed pineapple (not drained)

Mix, and bring to a boil. Stir and boil 5 minutes.
Cool while preparing:

Crumb Mixture:
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sifted flour
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1/4 cup butter
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix thoroughly. Press half of crumb mixture into greased 9" baking pan. Spread pineapple filling evenly over surface. Cover with remaining crumbs. Pat down firmly. Bake in 350F oven until golden brown Turn out and cut into squares.
