Salmon Canapes

Serve these a la carte -- let everyone make their own.

2 X 7.5oz. canned salmon (red, such as Sockeye, is best for color)
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
6 1/2 oz. canned ham flakes
2 tsp. lemon juice, fresh or bottled
1 tsp. horseradish
1 tsp. liquid smoke
1/4 tsp. onion powder
2 tsp. paprika (use with pink salmon)
Crackers or small bread rounds
Makes 3 cups spread
Drain salmon.
Remove skin and round bones.
Flake salmon in bowl.
Add next 7 ingredients.
Mash and work together.
Spread on crackers or bread rounds.
