A mix of sweet and savory flavors, perfect for your holiday turkey.

* 1/2 lb bulk pork sausage
* 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
* 1/2 cup chopped celery
* 10 cups unseasoned stuffing cubes
* 1/4 cup snipped parsley
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
* 6 tablespoons butter, melted
* 2 cups apples, peeled and chopped
* 2/3 cup dried cranberries
* 2 cups English walnut pieces
* 2 cups chicken broth
Servings: 10-12
In a large skillet, cook sausage, onion and celery over a medium heat, until sausage is no longer pink, stirring frequently. Set aside but do not drain grease. In a large bowl, combine stuffing, parsley, salt, poultry seasoning and butter. Add apples, cranberries, walnuts, sausage mixture and chicken broth. Toss ingredients lightly to combine. Cool stuffing, if using to stuff turkey, or transfer to a casserole dish sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

Notes: This is a moist stuffing full of a variety of flavors. I use this recipe in a turkey with a cranberry glaze.
