preheat oven to 350*F.
Grease and flour a 9 inch square pan.
1/2 cup butter softened,
1 cup brown sugar,
2 eggs,
1 cup mashed bananas,
1 tsp. vanilla,
1/4 cup buttermilk, or sour milk,
1 3/4 cup all purpose flour,
2 tsps. baking soda,
1 tsp. baking powder,
1/4 tsp. salt.
Makes 8
In a bowl cream together butter, sugar, and eggs.
Add bananas, vanilla, and buttermilk. Mix well.
In a seperate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Add to cream mixture. Mix well.
Spread in 9 inch greased, and floured pan.
Bake at 350*F for 30-40 minutes, or until cake tester comes out clean. Cool completely before Icing.
