1 pound halibut, cut into chunks
1 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons curry powder (or a bit less)
1 teaspoon marjoram
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon lemon pepper
2 cups Panko (Japanese bread crumbs)
8 ounces flat beer
Servings: 3
1. Combine flour, garlic powder, curry powder, marjoram, baking powder, and lemon pepper. Mix well. Slowly add enough flat beer to make a thick batter.

2. Dip halibut in batter and then roll in Panko. Let stand for 2 minutes. Deep fry in 375ºF fat until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper and serve with a tartar sauce or a zesty tomato, horseradish sauce for dipping.
