1 cup celery, sliced
1/2 cup onions, chopped
3 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt, to taste
1/4 teaspoon pepper, to taste
5 cooked boneless skinless chicken breast halves, chopped
4 ounces water chestnuts, sliced
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1. Sauté the celery and onion in the butter. Pour into a large mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well.
2. Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch casserole. Bake at 350° F for 45 minutes.
