A smooth beginning to a holiday meal.

3 beef bouillon cubes
3 cups boiling water
6 cups tomato juice
1 tbsp. lemon juice, fresh or bottled
1 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tsp. worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. onion powder
1 1/2 tsp. granulated sugar
Chopped chives, for garnish
Makes 9 cups consomme
Dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water in saucepan.
Add next 6 ingredients.
Bring to a boil.
Ladle into 8 soup bowls.
Garnish with chives.
