Recipe Feeder
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
2 large eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons grated onion
1/4 teaspoon ground

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 tablespoons cornstarch
1 soy sauce
3 tablespoons rice vinegar
1/3 cup water
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/4 cups pineapple juice
1 (20-ounce) can chunks
1 onion, peeled and sliced
2 green bell peppers, seeded and sliced

  1. Blend together ground beef, eggs, first addition of cornstarch, grated onion, pepper, nutmeg, salt and garlic powder. Form into 1-inch balls.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet and brown the meatballs evenly. Set aside on paper towels to drain.
  3. In a large saucepan, combine 4 tablespoons cornstarch, soy sauce, rice vinegar, water, brown sugar and pineapple juice. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
  4. Add the meatballs, pineapple chunks, sliced onion and green peppers. Cook for 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
Makes 5 servings.


NOTE: You could substitute ground ham or pork or turkey for the beef.
