Bake ribs for 1 hour (or parboil for 45 to 60 minutes, this cuts down on baking time). Drain off fat. Bake for 1 or 2 hours more. Drain fat. Cover with sauce and bake 1 hour more or until tender. (Parboiling decreases baking time 1 hour or more.)
1 onion (diced) or minced dry onion
Oil
1 bottle Heinz Chili Sauce
1 bottle water (use chili sauce bottle)
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 or 3 shakes Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 c. brown sugar (or more to your taste)
Sauce; Saute onion in oil. Combine all ingredients. Cover pan. Cook for 15 minutes. Sauce thickens as it cooks. Sauce can be used on hot dogs or hamburgers.
